Chapter 92 - General Elections
I think most of us have no idea what happens if we don't vote.. Everyone tells me we have to vote, but when posed with the question of what happens if we don't vote, we're all dumbfounded... (the garang guni man come catch u lor... ;p) Here's what I found after doing some research.

Voting is compulsory in Singapore. All Singapore citizens whose names are in the current Registers of Electors are required to vote. Anyone who failed to vote in any election will have his name expunged from the Registers of Electors after the election. Citizens whose names are not in the Registers of Electors will be disqualified from:-
(a) Voting in any election;
(b) Standing as a candidate in any election; and
(c) Being a proposer, seconder or assentor for the nomination of any candidate.
They will have to apply to the Registration Officer if they want to have their names restored to the Registers of Electors. The application form can be printed from the Elections Department's website at www.elections.gov.sg

Just thought I'd share bit of general information. *wink*
