Chapter 387 - Love Matters
Jack Neo's latest movie - "Love Matters" was such a disappointment, even when I went with no expectations at all. While the movie had a refreshing start, being set in Malaysia, and with a cast that even speaks with a Malaysian accent, yet this was not enough to make up for the horrible plot and cringe-worthy acting (particularly by the younger actors).

If you're trying to find a family-friendly film, or show for the new year, then I'd suggest you giving this show a miss.. (or basically, avoid it if you can...)

My first CNY in Singapore, after 3 years! :)

Chapter 386 - Quote of the Day
"Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."
-Dalai Lama

Something for us to ponder over today. :)

PS: the quote is actually quite cool eh? like a logic statement: the sky is blue. i love blue. (therefore I love the sky). ;p

Chapter 385 - Goodbye 2008
Well, now seems like a good time to blog, cos I've got some time before my next appointment in town. Am chilling out at Starbucks, at the new Jurong Point extension, sipping my green tea soy latte (*slurp*). I'm so horribly sleepy at the moment - the result of having to get up at 6am for classes.

Anyway, I thought I should reflect on some of the things that have happened in 2008, milestones in the life of Kenny. ;p

1. Graduation
I graduated from Cambridge, having spent 3 years there. It was a great experience, and I've enjoyed myself so much! (so much so NIE is actually quite a bore... ;p) Hopefully I'll get to go back again in June this year - even if just for a day. :)

2. Work, Work, Work
Of course, I started "work" at NIE, and officially became a civil servant, so I'm expected to be quite civil in all my posts from now on, i.e. No Minimal bitching.

3. Travels
I began the year 2008 touring the Middle East (i believe i was in Jordan at that time). Then I got to go to Norway and Switzerland during my Easter vacation, and toured France/Italy when my family came over for graduation. And I've just returned from a trip to Bangkok recently, as well as to India (my first time in the Indian sub-continent!). So all in all, quite a fulfilling year's worth of travels...

4. l.o.v.e.
what a lovely 2008 it's been! :) let's hope that 2009 will be just as wonderful, if not even better!

Chapter 384 - of Tuk-tuks and Buddhas
Happy 2009!!! Not gonna bother with New Year Resolutions this year... lol. :)

Anyway, I'm finally back to Internet-land, having only checked my email about 5 times in the last 2 months. (that's gotta be a record!) I just got back from Bangkok this afternoon, having spent the New Year in Tuk-Tuk paradise - did lots of shopping and had soooooooo much street food! AWESOME! And that's not even including the sightseeing and the massage.

(and we didn't even know about the mishap at the Bangkok nightclub until my mum called last evening!)

Term starts in 2 days - am dreadfully dreading it. This break has been so much fun!
