Chapter 145 - The Day Kenny Slept
I'm so proud of myself today. For the first time in weeks, I managed to get more than 7 hours of sleep. :) I set my alarm for 11am, (slept at 4am) and managed to cancel my snooze in my dreams and hence woke at at 2pm. But of course, with(out) daylight saving, it was only 1pm. So hurray to daylight saving. :)

---------------------------------

Another event checked off my to-do stuff this term. SingNite was finally concluded last night. I must say that the sequence of events went quite well last night. All things turned out fine in the end, less the fact that the banner didn't arrive and the turnout wasn't as fantastic compared to last year. But no use worrying about that now. :)

I realised that I didn't take many photos last night, although I wasn't technically very busy last night, compared to the Kenny that was running like mad during SDD back in my JC days. I guess I was just too tired and lazy to socialise... ;p I did however get to talk to the Dy High Com though...

The Acappella group from Cambridge, which I must say was quite fantastic. It was their first public performance, and I'm sure there'll be more to come. :)

Shuying from Birmingham. Don't pway pway wor. UKSSC vice-president. (*rolls eyes* hehe).

And also, for SingNite, to bring down the costs, I borrowed moving lights from my college ents. During the event, for some reason, the bulb blew. There was like a loose screw in the light or something, but when I got back today and opened the light to inspect it, i was shocked to find the bulb BLOWN. first time i've seen something like this... usually it's only the filament inside that breaks, but this time it was the top of the bulb that broke. Maybe it melted. And then when I took off the attachment below, just fell to pieces....

the broken bulb (and stop trying to read palm.... ;p)

Chapter 144 - The Perpetually Tired Kenny
This week is such a horrible week and tiring week. And it's not as if the weekend that went by was very relaxing either... hehe. And the only day that I could sleep past 6.30am this week, Monday, wasn't quite what it was supposed to be, cos I was rudely awakened by a nightmare about spiders, and then my handphone rings, which turns out to be Starhub customer care calling me to tell me something about my Digital Voice Travel thingy. GOSH. It was 5.30AM lor. ~@#%$^& And similar thing happened last night when I received a call at 2.30am as well.... and I was supposed to be up by 6.30am for coxing.... =(

--------------------------------

Oxbridge Games

So it was Oxbridge weekend, and we headed down to Oxford this time. I must say everything (for the event) went really smoothly and according to plan. Of course, we weren't quite as kickass this time, but it was only because they had foreign talents.... ;p

But I must say it was quite an enjoyable weekend nonetheless. Stayed over at Timothy's place and we stayed up till late drawing on this canvas thingy that Tim bought. (which I must say was pretty amusing the next morning when I woke up and realised what we were drawing in our dreamy states! tim - be sure to send us the photo!)

So what's the verdict? Oxford or Cambridge? I must say I prefer Cambridge cos it's prettier. or at least I really like the colleges by the river in Cambridge. Makes for a perfect photo. (Some Oxonian will probably want to correct me on that, but who cares.... hehe... ;p)

--------------------------------

Ok. Perpertually tired kenny will go to bed now...... ;p

Chapter 143 - Fresher's Formal
Just got back from the CUMSA Fresher's Formal at Pembroke... What a blast it was and one of the most enjoyable formals I've attended. The food was fantastic, the hall was nice and good company to top it up. :) I kinda need to be doing work now, so i'm just gonna post my favourite photo from the formal:
Part 1... took a photo with Darryl and Agnes, but apparently, the "photographer" (i think it was Ian) said we blinked, so we took another one:

Which was really hilarious cos Darryl and I decided to look somewhere else, and Agnes didn't quite catch on to it quick enough.... hehe... :)

(edit)hehe.. the third photo to finish it off. :)(/edit)

Here's the quote of the day, from Paulo Coelho's "Life" - Selected Quotations:
"All battles in life serve to teach us something, even the battles we lose."

Chapter 141 - Barista Kenny
So anyway, I think I'm more like a part-time student and a full-time staff of CUMSA right now. So much work to be settled. It's just as well supervisions haven't quite got started yet... Social life consists of asking people for CVs, getting people to sign up for events and also replying to countless emails... :(

-------------------------------

Anyway, i finalised "realised my dreams" and bought myself an espresso machine! Muahaha.. Now I can have a latte or cappucino any time i want it. Good training for my future career as a barista in Starbucks. :)

The very sexy expressomachine...

My espresso shots being filled up...

And my very own Cappuccino.... complete with froth (i've not quite mastered the art of drawing on the froth yet....)

Of course, it's not always a good idea to have too much coffee, like last night I was so excited about the machine i decided to try making a latte for myself. And that kept me awake till at least 1.30am and I was supposed to be up coxing at 6am. :(

Yes, I'm a coffee addict. Coffee anyone?

-------------------------------

The December hols are shaping up to be a pretty exciting one.. heading over to the US of A!! gonna fly to New York, San Francisco, and then quite likely Peru, although that is still being planned and back to London.... :) Can't wait for this horrible term that just started to be over... hehe...

Chapter 140 - ?
I've been so busy lately, but yet, I can't seem to think of stuff to write about.... Nothing interesting or exciting happened that is...

-----------------------------

We had a boat-naming ceremony for our new pink boat a couple of days ago!
As you can tell, it really is PINK. :) It's meant to be, afterall, pink is one of our college colours.....

-----------------------------

Been watching lots of movies on my laptop lately... of which, included V for Vendetta, Thank you for smoking and I also rewatched The Phantom of the Opera. Something worth noting (randomly) was that the Phantom while take Christine to his dungeon, when he was crossing the lake in the boat, he was actually PUNTING! Something i only just realised.. Yes, you would have to rewatch it to see it. I wonder why though. According to Wikipedia, punting is almost exclusively confined to pleasure trips on the river in the university towns of Oxford & Cambridge....

-----------------------------

I think i'm gonna head to New York for the December break to visit friends! Managed to get good deals for air fares. Now to decide whether I also want to fly to San Francisco to visit Siswi. hmm. An additional 200 pounds....
